Andhra Pradesh property deals see 28 per cent growth

Guntur and Vijayawada, - touted as next twin cities, saw the highest registration of lands

Hyderabad: Post bifurcation, property transactions in residual Andhra Pradesh has witnessed a 28 per cent growth, reveals the revenue collection figures .
Andhra Pradesh Stamps and Registration collected revenue of Rs 270.41 crore in June, 2014, as against Rs 185.81 crore in June, 2013.

Of the 13 districts in Andhra Pradesh, Guntur and Vijayawada, which are being touted as the next twin cities of the residual state, saw the highest registration of lands and transfer of properties.

In June, the stamps & registration revenue collection for Guntur and Vijayawada touched Rs 67.45 crore and Rs 53.93 crore respectively.

In Telangana, though the overall collections from 10 districts in June was higher when compared to that of AP, it showed a dip by 20 per cent compared to last year’s revenue. Stamps and registration revenue collection for Telangana in June 2014 is Rs 200.45 crore against Rs 242.74 crore in 2013.

However, Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district which forms Greater Hyderabad turned to be the biggest revenue collectors through the stamps and registration not only in Telangana, but also the combined state put together. Revenues in Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts in June 2014 touched Rs 270 crore and Rs 115 crore respectively.
