Andhra Pradesh: Father kills 11-year-old with the help of girlfriend
Hyderabad: In an inhuman act, an 11-year-old was killed by her father and his friend in Arundathinagar in Jawaharnagar on Friday.
The victim, K. Ketrin, a Class IV student, was beaten with fibre pipes, resulting in grave injuries and instant death.
The victim’s father, Upender, a labourer, had frequent quarrels with his wife Anitha.
As a result the couple separated two years ago. Anitha took their youngest child and went to stay with her parents, while Ketrin and her other sibling stayed with Upender.
Jawaharnagar police said Upender was having an extra-marital affair with a woman named Rani, who is married and has a child.
All of them stayed in the same house. Upender and Rani often harassed the victim over trivial issues and beat her up. Late on Friday night, the duo assaulted her.
“Enraged, they beat her with fibre pipes. She sustained grave injuries on various parts of the body and succumbed,” said T. Ashok Kumar, inspector of police, Jawaharnagar.
Based on a complaint, a case was registered under Section 304 Part II of the IPC.
Police said though the couple had no intention to kill the child, she allegedly died due to the beating. Investigation is on. The accused are yet to be arrested.
The victim’s body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital and was later handed over to the family after post-mortem.
