Imran Khan's next film Katti Batti delayed
Imran is hopeful that Katti Batti will help him get back in the game
Mumbai: After several of his films flopped, Imran Khan found himself ousted from Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Gandhi. The actor is now banking on Nikhil Advani’s comic caper, Katti Batti, to revive his box office fortunes. However, he may be in for a bit of a wait before the film goes on the floors.
The word in B-town is that Nikhil has postponed Katti Batti as he is busy re-shooting a few scenes of his film Hero. The director, who is launching star kids Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in Hero, wants to ensure that the film is flawless. Nikhil’s passion for perfection, however, has led to a somewhat stressful situation for Imran, since he had blocked his dates for the Katti Batti shoot.
“Imran is unhappy with the film being delayed. This is the only film that he has in his kitty and he’s looking to get back in action,” said sources in the know.
Imran enjoys a lot of goodwill in the industry and this should help him pull through a rough patch. The failure of big banner films like Gori Tere Pyar Mein and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara may have pulled him down a few notches, but Imran is hopeful that Katti Batti will help him get back in the game.
