Diamond studs passe, now, its bejeweled chains and pendants for Indian men!

New Delhi: Men usually don't adorn themselves with accessories, but over the years, they have started experimenting with jewellery. Here are some of the latest trends in men's jewellery.

While diamond studs still remain a popular accessory among men who sport piercings, there are plenty of cubic zirconium options, along with studs in silver, stainless steel and titanium that males young and older can opt for.

Pendants are the latest fad, as a lot of guys are seen experimenting with platinum or gold chains and pendants, which carry an urban look and feel, or a leather or hemp rope necklace with a stone pendant, which gives them that earthy look.

Even the trend of bedazzling shoes, inspired by stars like Jackie Shroff, is seen to be picking up.

A peculiar range of cufflinks, which are a traditional staple in men's accessories, have also been designed for men with fabric, semi-precious stones, diamonds, silver, platinum or gold, which can be worn every day to work or just for formal occasions, such as a weddings.

Belts with diamond-studded initials make for a good gifting item, and look classy and stylish if teamed up correctly.

Speaking about the need to accessorize appropriately, designer Sachi Singh, Executive Director Motiwala and Sons, said, "It is important to keep in mind whether you are accessorizing for a formal shin dig or a more casual situation as different occasions prompt different ways to wear adornments, and you must try to remain tasteful and fashionable in your selections".
