Live updates, India at Commonwealth Games 2014 Day 2: Abhinav Bindra wins gold in men's 10m air rifle
Glasgow: India made an impressive start bagging 7 medals on day 1 of the CWG 2014. Continuing their good work, India are off to a solid start on day 2.
Shooting: Former Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra won his first individual CWG gold in the 2014 Glasgow Games, when he dominated the finals of his pet event - men's 10m air rifle - and won it by 3.2 points margin at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre on Friday. Bindra shot a total of 205.3 points to finish ahead of Bangladesh Abdullah Baki, who shot 202.1 points to claim the silver medal.
Earlier in the day, 16-year-old Malaika Goel created a history of sorts as she bagged silver in 10m Air Pistole category. Heena Sidhu though could not follow Goel's footsteps.

Judo: Sunibala Huidrom won her 70kg repechage round. Huidrom will now face Scotland's S Conway to win bronze.
Judoka Garima Chaudhary has lost against Sarah Clark in the 63 kg category. She would contest in the Repachage in order to qualify for the bronze medal event.
Hockey: India eves beat Canada 4-2 in their first game in CWG in Glasgow.
Earlier, Indian men’s team defeated Wales 3-1.
Swimming: Sandeep Sejwal qualified for men's 100m breaststroke. He became the first Indian swimmer to clear the qualification round.
Badminton: India crushed Uganda 5-0.
Table Tennis Indian women’s beat Kenya 3-0
The pair of A Das and P Ghatak defeated D M Njani and S D Thakkar 11-6, 11-5, 11-5 in doubles event.
P Ghatak bagged another win as he beat JAK Shah 11-4, 11-3, 11-5. Batra sealed a win as he beat S D Thakka 11-7, 11-4, 11-4.
