New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government is working on an ambitious plan in which all those working on innovative ideas and offering suggestions in areas like education, health, IT infrastructure, etc., will be able to send proposals directly to the Prime Minister. A website is being devised for this.
After receiving ideas from the common people the Prime minister will seek advice from experts, and once an idea is approved by him, the Centre will “adopt” the entire project, providing funding. The person or orga-nisation that suggested it will be roped in as a sort of project manager or adviser so that critical inputs can be given for its implementation.
The matter, sources said, was “very close to the PM’s heart”, and work has already started on it. The Prime Minister feels that not only is this a classic example of “public-private partnership”, it will also bring the government closer to those who are actively working for change in society.
