The original 'Shaukeen' had Mithun Chakraborty and Rati Agnihotri
She is cast opposite to Akshay Kumar in a remake of 'Shaukeen' (1982). Reportedly the role was first offered to Nargis Fakhri and Shraddha Kapoor.
Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon-starrer 'Shaukeen', a remake of the 1982 comedy of the same name, is set to release on November 7 this year.
'Shaukeen' also stars veteran actors Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal and Annu Kapoor in lead roles. Kher took to Twitter to share the news.
"Happy to announce the release date of The Shaukeens. It is 7th November. Be ready for this fantasy ride," he tweeted. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma, who helmed the Ali Zafar-starrer 2010 satire 'Tere Bin Laden'.
The original 'Shaukeen' had Mithun Chakraborty and Rati Agnihotri in lead along with Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and A K Hangal.
