Chandrababu Naidu raps KCR Rao for deciding nativity
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet passed a resolution to seek the Centre’s intervention in the Eamcet counselling issue. The Cabinet also decided to take an all-party delegation on nativity and fee reimbursement issue to the Centre.
After the Cabinet meet, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told the media that the resolution will be sent to the Centre. Mr Naidu also criticised Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao saying, “The Telangana government cannot decide anybody’s nativity. There are certain Acts that can decide nativity and we must implement them. The State Bifurcation Act 371D defines nativity.”
He pointed out that the Supreme Court had said that the Eamcet counselling and admissions must be completed by the end of August and he did not know why the Telangana government wanted to postpone the counselling. Mr Naidu added that 9.50 lakh students in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were suffering due to the delay.
Mr Naidu said that the Cabinet has decided to fill the 456 posts on contract system in Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to effective implementation of the scheme. The Cabinet also decided to regularise the contract employees.
He said that the Cabinet has decided to give permission to set up LNG terminal at Gangavaram port with the capacity of five million metric tonnes per year, and after completion of this terminal, the state government will get Rs 3,085 crore revenue through Vat. He said that the capacity of the terminal can extend up to 10 million metric tonnes.
All pension schemes will be implemented from October 2. He said NGOs and self help groups will be involved in the implementation of NTR Sujala Sravanthi from October 2.

The Cabinet has decided to study Kapu reservations and in the next Cabinet meeting the government will take a decision in this issue.
