Pooja Umashankar to do cameo for old friend
Chennai: After a brief hiatus, Pooja Umashankar, is back in K’town with a cameo role. The film titled Kadavul Paathi Mirugam Paadhi, which has Raj wielding the megaphone, is slated to hit the screens on August.
The actress affirms that it is her long-time friendship with the director that made her immediately accept the offer. “I know Raj for more than a decade. I was happy that he was making this movie and shooting for it brought back old memories,” she says.
According to Raj, “Pooja will be seen in the second half of the film in a very different and crucial role. She is a part of a flashback sequence in the film. The film is a road movie, covering the events of one night. The entire film was shot on a highway. The film does not have a hero or heroine; but all the characters in it are important.” Sethu, who acted as the policeman in Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa, plays a crucial role in the film.
