Is it any wonder then that the pairing of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the latest offering by Dharma Productions is causing such a buzz in the industry?
Dharma honcho Karan Johar officially announced on Tuesday morning that the production house’s next big film, to be directed by Ayan Mukherji, would star Alia and Ranbir: “Ayan Mukherji’s next for Dharma Productions is slated to begin mid next year and release by December 23, 2016.
Ranbir and Alia,” read his message on a social networking site. Our sources revealed that Alia apparently met with Ayan and Karan at the Dharma office a month ago.
“Both Karan and Ayan discussed the project at length with her. After the narration, she immediately agreed,” the source said.
