Jammu and Kashmir government to complete its term
Srinagar: Even after deciding to fight the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir seperately the Congress and the National conference leadership has had agreed to allow the coalition government to complete its six-year term that ends in November.
Political analysts say that the decision to fight the Assembly polls seperately may create practical difficulties.
It is also yet to be seen how they would face each other during campaigning as both have decided to contest all 87 Assembly seats.
The two parties, which had entered into a post-poll alliance after a hung verdict in the 2008 Assembly polls, have already started indulging in public spats over various issues.

Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni and JKPCC chief Saifuddin Soz, said that the party will fight the polls alone and not enter into any pre-poll alliance.
“After extensive talks with Congress leaders and workers at all levels, the party has (decided) to fight the polls on our own strength”, Ms Soni, AICC general secretary in charge of J & K, said.
She also added, She also said the decision to go it alone was to respect the sentiments of party workers in the state. “Most of the workers and leaders wanted us to go alone,” she added.
