Vibgyor parents appeal to Prime Minister: We want speedy justice
Bengaluru: A wave of revulsion has gripped the entire nation after the repugnant attack on a six-year-old which took place in the IT capital on July 2. Parents in Bangalore are no longer relying on the state government for justice and have approached the Prime Minister.
The parents of students of Vibgyor International School are now sending their request for speedy justice to the Prime Minister’s Office. The official site of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being flooded with messages and posts from parents all over India. The messages are being posted on the official page, ‘Interact with PM’ by parents.
Citizens from all over the country have come together in solidarity to stand up for the safety of women and children. More and more parents are now registering on the PMO page by clicking on the link http://pmindia.nic.in/ interact_ with_pm.php, demanding action against the predators.
One of the hundreds of the messages posted on the PMO site stated: “My son studies in the same school in Bengaluru. A small girl was raped inside the school premises by the school staff. After the horrific rape in New Delhi, the nation expected an unrelenting and unforgiving response towards the monsters who commit these heinous crimes.’’
‘‘However nothing has changed. It is appalling to see the number of these incidents throughout the country and the brazen manner in which these crimes are now committed. I demand swift action against these crimes, including capital punishment, which must act as a strong deterrent towards any recurrence,” said the message.
The case has already attracted the attention of the HRD Ministry and several political leaders have expressed anguish and demanded stringent action against the accused.
