Hyderabad: MAA Music channel anchor and VJ ‘LoBo’ alias Mohammed Khayyum who was booked for allegedly abusing a woman on Friday night was arrested and remanded. Earlier, a case was registered against him. LoBo, as he is popularly called on television, apparently abused the victim for not giving way to his bike.
Mr M. Prabhakar Reddy of Begumpet police station said the incident occurred at around 8 pm on Friday. LoBo was driving from Ameerpet to Secunderabad on his bike. When he reached the petrol bunk near Shoppers’ Stop, a woman in her twenties on a scooty didn’t give him way. “LoBo stopped the woman and abused her verbally. This turned big with both parties shouting at each other. He wasn’t drunk,” said Mr Reddy.
The woman lodged a complaint. Cops said Lobo was taken into custody, and he admitted the incident. He was sent to judicial custody.
