Mumbai: Adding one more hit to his kitty with Holiday, the workaholic Akshay Kumar indulged in a month-long vacation with his family. He’s back now and gearing up for his next release Entertainment where his chief co-star is a dog.
“I had rehearsed thoroughly before they introduced me to my buddy, whose name is Entertainment in the film. I don’t think I have ever improvised so much in my life as I did in this film. You could never guess what Entertainment would do! You had to go with his emotions. Your actor’s instinct had to go out of the window. You just had to be there for the dog, so that he was comfortable,” recollects an amused Akshay.
So, for a change, it was the dog’s schedule that dictated Akshay’s day at work. He laughs and says, “That’s true. When he got tired, we had to stop and let him take a nap. I would even sleep on his belly at times, so he knew that I was not a stranger, but someone who’s his friend. It’s the bond that we shared that makes the film so magical.” The superstar enjoyed every minute with his new co-star.
“It’s a pleasure to be part of a dog’s life. This was something totally new for me. I see a great change coming in the life of dogs after this film releases. There’s nothing more that an actor wants than to be able to create a positive change. I really hope that happens.”
