Hyderabad: The fee to enter the Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park has been doubled. On Saturday, the state government passed an order to enhance the entry fee for a year (from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015).
The principal chief conservator of forests, Telangana had reported that the cost of maintenance of the KBR Park has increased considerably from Rs 37.50 lakh in 2005-06 to Rs 89.60 lakh in 2013-14.
However, there had been no enhancement in the park entry fee and the management was finding it difficult to mobilise additional resources to maintain the park.
