Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to invite President Pranab Mukherjee as the chief guest for the coming Godavari Pushkaralu in July 2015.
With the Godavari Pushkaralu being held for the first time in Telangana state, Mr Rao has asked officials to make elaborate arrangements to celebrate the event. Mr Rao on Friday held a meeting at the Secretariat regarding arrangements for the Godavari Pushkaralu.
He asked officials to invite the Peetaadhipathis of Kanchi, Sringeri and Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for the Pushkaralu. Mr Rao told officials to ensure facilities at bath ghats.
Importance of Godavari Pushkaralu in neighbouring states to enable Telangana people to participate in the event and take up holy dip.
He directed officials to create all the facilities at bath ghats to take holy dip and renovate temples near them to enable pilgrims to have darshan of gods conveniently.
