Hrithik Roshan, a co-developer of Lotus business park reaches the spot

Mumbai: The top floor of Lotus Business Park was on fire earlier in the the day with the fire fighters on a task to get the situation under control. However, some of the fire fighters were trapped at the terrace with hours of rescue operation initiated by Fire Brigade, Navy and Costal Guard personnel to rescue them.

Reportedly, Hrithik Roshan, who is one of the co-developer of Lotus Business Chamber rushed to the spot to take a first hand account of the ongoing situation. The office is located on Andheri link road and has offices of Rakesh Roshan and Ajay Devgn.

One fireman died and nine of his colleagues were injured while battling a blaze that broke out in a commercial building in suburban Mumbai today, official sources said.

"21 firemen were brought to our hospital, one of them was brought dead. Some of them are injured but none is serious," Medical Superintendent of Cooper Hospital Dr Sitaram Gawde told PTI.

An official at the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai's disaster management cell told PTI that only nine of those rushed to the hospital had received injuries.

Tawde said it was not yet known if the deceased fireman died of asphyxiation or due to injuries.
