Stir in Lok Sabha over cash stash charge against Giriraj

Giriraj Singh demanded that the Congress MP's remarks be expunged

New Delhi: Noisy scenes were witnessed in Lok Sabha on Wednesday after Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia made a mention of cash recovery from BJP MP Giriraj Singh’s house while speaking about black money, with members of the ruling party demanding that the remarks be expunged from the House.

It all began when Mr Scindia asked the government why it was not taking any action against Mr Singh, from whose house Rs 1 crore in cash and gold and silver ornaments were found, in his speech during discussion on Union Budget.

As soon as Mr Scindia made a mention of Mr Singh, the BJP MP and his colleagues rose from their respective seats and demanded that either the remarks be expunged from the House or the Congress MP withdraw the remarks.
