NDA keen to end Budget session within a week
New Delhi: Speculation of curtailing the Budget session of the Parliament has started in the political circles with the ruling NDA leaders expecting this to end within a week.
But the Oppos-ition wants the Session to last till August 14.
If the NDA insiders are to be believed, the government does not have much legislative business except passing of the railway and the General Budget before July 31.
Discussion on the demands of grants of ministries would be taken up in the Lok Sabha.
But most important is unity among Opposit-ion parties in the Rajya Sabha on certain issues.
This would certainly worry the floor managers as the NDA lacks majority in the Upper House.
And this is perhaps the reason behind the speculation of an early conclusion of the Session.
