Lanco and Microsoft are not same: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao
'Lanco cannot escape punishment. They have cheated the government.' Telangana CM
Hyderabad: While giving a clean chit to Microsoft, Infosys and other companies that had been allotted land by the government, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Wednesday that his government would take action against Lanco.
“You cannot club Lanco with Microsoft, Infosys and other companies, which have been allotted land by the government. Some newspapers tried to say that if action was taken against Lanco, it would also apply to other companies, which is not the case,” Mr Rao said at a press conference.
Briefing the media on the Cabinet decisions, he said that Microsoft, Infosys and other companies had been allotted land by the government hence they had not violated any rules or were occupying wakf or other lands.
“Lanco cannot escape punishment. They have cheated the government. So has MR Properties etc. We will also clear encroachments on Gurukul Trust lands and Bhoodan lands. Our duty is to protect government and trust lands from land grabbers. I want to make Hyderabad a highly regulated city and take stringent action against land grabbers,” he warned.
