Mumbai: Jacqueline Fernandes had an awkward moment at a recently held press conference.
Looking radiant, the actress was occupying the seat next to her co-star Salman Khan.
But the glow on her face diminished a wee bit when Katrina Kaif’s name was mentioned in comparison to her.
It seems questions surrounding Kat didn’t go down well with the Sri Lankan beauty. “I don’t see any similarity between us. But I do admire her for sustaining her graph in the industry,” said a visibly frazzled Jacky.
The actress had to field questions about Kat with Salman sitting right next to her.
Her nervousness was evident. But she kept talking.
Jacqueline went on to add that she hasn’t replaced any actress in Salman’s camp — Kat or otherwise. “I’m my own person. I have my own personality and my own mind. How can I possibly fill in for anyone else?” she said.
The actress admitted that she had to learn and unlearn a lot in order to be able to play Salman’s heroine.
“For actresses of different nationalities, speaking Hindi is a task. I’m happy that Salman asked me to take it up seriously,” Jackie said.
When reminded that he had groomed Katrina too in a similar way, she rebuffed the question.
