Cops reply sought on APNGOs plea
Hyderabad: Justice Vilas Afzulpurkar of the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday sought response from the police to a petition by the APNGO’s Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society challenging the freezing of the society’s bank accounts.
The society, represented by its secretary N. Chandrasekhar Reddy, had moved the court on Saturday (July 12) stating that the functioning of society has come to a grinding halt and they are not able pay salaries to the staff due to freezing of its account by the police. He said they are even unable to pay the advocate fee.
Mr Chandrasekhar Reddy said the police have directed the bank to freeze its account based on a complaint lodged by the district cooperative officer.
The judge asked the government pleader from Home of Telangana to get the details and posted the case to Thursday (July 17).
