Andhra Pradesh: 24 IPS officers transferred in reshuffle
Hyderabad: Effecting the first major shake-up of the police administration after forming the first government of truncated Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday replaced Superintendents of Police of all 13 districts in the state.
In all, 24 Indian Police Service officers of the Superintendent of Police rank have been transferred in the exercise today, an order issued by Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao said.
Following are the new postings given to the district SPs: A S Khan (2002 batch), Srikakulam; Grewal Navdeep Singh K S (2008), Vizianagaram; Koya Praveen (2009) Visakhapatnam (Rural); M Ravi Prakash, East Godavari; S Hari Krishna, Rajahmundry (Urban); K Raghuram Reddy (2006), West Godavari; G Vijay Kumar, Krishna; Tafseer Iqubal (2008), DCP (Law and Order) Vijayawada City; G V G Ashok Kumar, DCP (Administration) Vijayawada City; P H D Ramakrishna, Guntur (Rural); Rajesh Kumar (2002), Guntur (Urban); Ch Srikanth (2002), Prakasam; S Senthil Kumar (2008), SPS Nellore; G Srinivas, Chittoor; Gopinath Jatti (2008), Tirupati (Urban); S V Rajasekhar Babu, Anantapuram; Navin Gulati (2004, Kadapa and Ake Ravi Krishna (2006), Kurnool.
Among others, K V Mohan Rao has been posted as SP (Vigilance and Enforcement), Guntur, in the existing vacancy.
Vikram Jeet Duggal (2007 batch) has been posted as Group Commander of Greyhounds; J Satyanarayana (2003) and P Pramod Kumar (2001) have been posted as SP (Intelligence); T Ravi Kumar Murthy has been posted as SP (Crime Investigation Department), and J Prabhakar Rao (2003) has been posted as Commandant of 3rd AP Special Police Battalion.
