Hyderabad: West Zone police busted a sex racket in Jubilee Hills by arresting three people and rescuing a woman on Tuesday. Police raided an apartment at Sravanthinagar following a tip off. Jubilee Hills police who conducted the raid, said that two organisers, one customer and one sex worker were engaged in prostitution at the flat in Laxmi Nilayam apartment.
The arrested people are two organisers, M. Satyanarayana Reddy and K. Ramu, and the customer Vijay Krishna from Kukatpally. The 28-year-old woman is from Visakhapatnam, Jubilee Hills police officials said.
The racket has been active in Jubilee Hills for the last five months attracting high profile customers. Police officials are investigating if more people are involved in the racket.
At least seven sex rackets have been busted in Hyderabad’s posh areas in the last four weeks. After two policemen were attacked by a prostitution agent in Jubilee Hills, the West Zone police had initiated special crack down on the sex rackets in their limits.
