ICC Test rankings: Cheteshwar Pujara lone Indian in top ten

In the all-rounders’ list, India’s Ravindra Jadeja retained his number two position

Dubai: Cheteshwar Pujara continued to be the lone Indian batsman in the top-10 despite losing a place to be at eighth spot while opener Murali Vijay, who hit 146 and 52 in drawn first Test against England, jumped up 12 places to 30th in the latest ICC Test rankings issued on Monday.

Vijay is now India’s fourth highest-ranked batsman after Pujara, Virat Kohli (13th) and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (27th) in the chart headed by South Africa’s AB de Villiers.

In the ICC Test bowlers’ chart, Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar broke into the top 50 and is ranked at 46. Ravichandran Ashwin is the only Indian to figure in the top-10 after losing a place to be at eighth.
