Many producers were in the race to buy the Telugu rights of this film
Hyderabad: After Rajinikanth, Suriya is the other Tamil actor who is popular with Telugu audiences. His films too are blockbusters. His Tamil film Anjaan is being released in Telugu as Sikander. Samantha plays the female lead in this film, directed by N. Linguswamy. Many producers were in the race to buy the Telugu rights of this film, but producer Lagadapati Sridhar bagged it for the top price. Sridhar is planning to release both Telugu and Tamil versions on August 15. He released the first look of the film and the title logo recently. The film is touted to be a gangster story with lots of action. Santosh Sivan the ace cinematographer has shot this film. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director.
