Flickr is ten years old

Flickr released an updated version 3.0 for both Android and iPhone users

Mumbai: The web-based image sharing and hosting site, Flickr is ten years old this year, with 92 million unique users who upload 3.5 million photos every day. To mark the first decade, Flickr has just released an updated version 3.0 for both Android and iPhone users, with some cool new features which make it easier to capture, share and discover new images.

Most usefully you can now upload up to 30 seconds of video from your mobile or 3 minutes if you are uploading directly from a movie camera. The search engine has been 'smartened' up with auto tagging. Photos can be directly shared with Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook.

And information freaks will like the new screen where you can find out where the photo was taken and which camera and lens were used to create each shot. Links for the free app at Google Play and App Store can be found at Flickr.com
