Hyderabad: The warning for heavy rains has been extended by 24 more hours and many districts in Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh are likely to get the showers.
Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, Krishna and East and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh, and Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, Medak, Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts of Telangana are expected to receive isolated heavy rains.
“On Sunday, the low pressure area was lingering over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal,” said the officials of the Met department.
The rains will get heavier only after the low pressure area moves inland towards Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
