Air India, Indigo avert mid-air collision

New Delhi: Over 250 passengers had a close shave on Friday afternoon when aircraft of Indigo and national carrier Air India were involved in a mid-air near-miss collision course near Bagdogra in West Bengal.
The DGCA has ordered a probe to examine how the incident happened and who was responsible for the breach of minimum distance that ought to separate two aircraft.
The IndiGo aircraft had 131 passengers on board while the AI flight had 120 passengers. The IndiGo flight 6E-472 Bagdogra-Delhi departed at 12.22 pm.
