Mumbai: Rani Mukerji who recently tied the knot with Aditya Chopra, opened up about her relationship with him and her future plans in an interview with Times of India.
The actress was in a relationship with Aditya for almost 4 years before they got hitched a few months ago in Italy. Rani revealed a few details of the quiet ceremony, she said, “We were just 15 of us and Adi wanted to take over an entire hotel, so we did that. We had decided so fast that within four days, I got my wedding lehenga made. I always wanted to get married the Bengali way.”
When asked about her plans on starting a family the actress said she is very keen on starting a family soon. “I am completely looking forward to becoming a mother. But movies are my first love.”
The actress also spoke about how she will continue her work and does not wish to become a housewife. “I definitely feel that whenever I will get a good script, I will work. Adi is also today's man and admires women who are working. He will never ask me to not work. He will not enjoy me being a housewife and will respect me more if I am working.”
Rani is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film ‘Mardaani’. The story of the film revolves around Shivani Shivaji Roy, an astute cop working in a Mumbai Crime Branch unit.
