Gaurav Gill will be looking to make it two wins in two rounds
Coimbatore: The second round of the Indian Rally Championship will be flagged off here on Saturday morning. All eyes are reigning Asia Pacific Rally champion Gaurav Gill, who will hit the Rally of Coimbatore in his Mahindra XUV 500.
Gill who won the season opener in Nashik will be facing a stiff competition from the defending national champion and Mahindra team-mate Amittrajit Ghosh. Gill and Ghosh had a tough battle in the first round before the former prevailed by a minute and 48 seconds despite being docked a penalty for delay at the service park. With their rivalry hotting up, one can expect some thrilling action.
