After his magnum opus Baahubali, director S.S. Rajamouli will be aiming higher. According to sources, the director will try to rope in Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and Hollywood action hero Jet Li for his next project.
Rajamouli had become a household name with Magadheera and Eega and he hopes that Baahubali will make him an international name. And, a Ranbir Kapoor and Jet Li movie could be his ticket to Hollywood, where he dreams to make Mahabharat.
Rajamouli and his father are well connected to Bollywood actors. “His father, writer Vijayendra Prasad, is known to most directors and actors in Bollywood. After John Abraham, recently director Rohit Shetty too met Prasad and got a story from him for his upcoming project,” says a source. Rajamouli is also in constant touch with actors like Aamir Khan.
Producer D. Suresh Babu had recently claimed that Rajamouli’s goal was to make Mahabharat in Hollywood. “If he wants to go to Hollywood, he has to prove his talent internationally. So he wants to make a film with Jet Li and Ranbir Kapoor,” says the source, adding that he may approach the actors once the first part of Baahubali releases.
