Anything can happen! Belgium football fan gets lucky with L’Oreal endorsement

Mumbai: This World Cup was full of emotions, breakdowns and over the edge entertainment. While fans went berserk rooting for their favourites, there was one whose life took a massive turn.

French cosmetics giant L'Oréal signed 17-year-old Axelle Despiegelaere as a hair model after spotting in the stands in Brazil after her pictures went viral online.

She was photographed during the World Cup while cheering for her team and was dubbed the ‘most beautiful’ football fan. A Belgian fan, Axelle came to Brazil to support her country and returned home with a lot more than she ever thought.

Though Belgium’s loss to Argentina disappointed her, the hefty endorsement deal promises to change her life for good. She has become nothing less than a celebrity on Facebook and twitter, with her page getting over 27, 000 likes.

Axelle featured in a L’Oréal Professionnel Belgique social media campaign, including a "hair tutorial" video that sees her getting a L'Oreal hair treatment. The video has received more than one million views.

L'Oréal is known for its hair and skin products and high-profile ambassadors, including Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor, Jennifer Lopez and Blake Lively.

She is not the spokesperson for the brand and her contract has been completed, clarified the French company.
