Sreesanth walks off from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Celebrity contestant could not stomach negative comments from judges, says source

Mumbai: Former cricketer Sreesanth showed his volatile side once again recently, this time on the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Sreesanth, a celebrity participant in the show, apparently stormed out of the Jhalak set after receiving negative comments from the judges for his performance on the song Dhan Tana from Kaminey, in the face-off round.

“Sreesanth was performing in the elimination round with Puja Banerjee (another celebrity contestant) when this happened. He was supposed to shoot his dance later but due to a change in schedule, he was asked by the crew to perform earlier and he got angry. While he did complete his performance, it was evident that he was upset.”

An annoyed Sreesanth got another blow when the judges, starting with Remo D’Souza, commented that “it wasn’t his best performance”. “Sreesanth immediately shot back at Remo saying, ‘I beg to differ with you. I had given my best’. There was this arrogance about him. Even when Madhuri gave her feedback, Sreesanth tried reasoning with her, saying, ‘while dancing, I felt a jerk in my feet and I went off tempo’,” adds the source.

Sreesanth’s argumentative side even ticked off judge Karan Johar who reserved his comments on the performance and just said: “I respect your opinion.” Following this, instead of joining his fellow contestants on the couch on the sets, Sreesanth walked off. “The crew did try to get him back, but he just left,” the source said.
