Night out ends in violence
Hyderabad: A Tuesday night party turned ugly for a group of youngsters at the city’s Cuba Libre club at GVK Mall. According to the police report, two bouncers were responsible for an attack on the group which left two from the four-member gang severely injured. It is alleged that the bouncers also misbehaved with a woman who was part of the group. Panjagutta police has registered a case and the bouncers have been arrested.
‘Out of control’
Cops claim the gang picked up an argument with the bouncers even before entering the club. And once inside, the row escalated into a full-on scuffle that even damaged furniture. Two bouncers, who were sent in to “handle” the situation soon got embroiled in the tussle and the fight then moved to the bathroom where victim, Jagadeeswar Reddy, apparently a close relative of MLA Venkata Ramana, and another friend, were thrashed.
“The duo had an argument with the bouncers over some silly reasons while they were entering into the pub. And later, they were responsible for damage of property,” added West Zone DCP V. Satyanarayana. A young lady, who was part of Reddy’s group, was also pushed to the floor.
“The bouncers went to control the revelers but they ended up beating them up badly. They also pushed and misbehaved with their lady friend,” said Panjagutta SI, Ranga Subbaiah.
Reddy is believed to have sustained injuries to the face and neck and he was soon rushed to a Yashoda hospital. Police has booked a case of outraging a woman’s modesty against the two Cuba Libre bouncers. The club’s management, meanwhile, has not put forth an explanation to the incident and two accused were produced in court later on Wednesday.
