Hyderabad: A techie working for Infosys was killed in a road mishap on the Osmania University campus on Monday morning. The victim, who was travelling in his Maruti Swift, was hit by an RTC bus coming from the opposite direction.
The victim was identified as Gadila Varun, 25, a resident of Vinayaknagar in Balanagar. According to the police, a rashly driven RTC bus hit his vehicle around 7am when he was near the Ganga Hostel near the Arts College.
“He sustained serious injuries on his head and elsewhere and succumbed at the hospital,” said T. Laxmi Narayana, investigating officer, Osmania University police station. The accused is yet to be arrested. A case has been registered.
Based on a complaint, a case of negligent driving was registered against the driver. Investigations are on. The accused is yet to be arrested. The body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary and was later handed over to the victim’s family after an autopsy.
