Hyderabad: Scientists are finding new applications for stem cell therapy with almost everyday. While earlier, stem cell transplant was restricted to bone marrow and treatment of cancers like leukemia, it is now finding other applications.

This is finding application in the treatment of neurological diseases to replenish neuro-sensory cells. Scientists from China have treated rheumatoid arthritis patients with stem cell therapy.
Moreover, they have grown new cochlear cells and missing teeth. Most importantly, various cancers have been treated. Stem cell therapy research is still an ongoing process with scientists around the world working on the subject.
