Hyderabad: After starting her acting career with a few local advertisements, Soumya Kumar is now turning to films. “When auditions for Vedam were announced, I applied and got selected. I did a small character in it and that’s how I entered films,” says Soumya who played the same character when the film was remade in Tamil.
The actress then got the offer to play the lead in Pora Pove. The Tamilian girl has been born and brought up in Hyderabad. She is fluent in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and French. “I am waiting for this film’s release. Talks are on for a few projects and I will let you know in a few weeks,” says Soumya.
