Mumbai: Randeep Hooda, who is currently shooting in Canada for Deepa Mehta’s next, Inland, had a health scare recently and had to be rushed to the hospital. The actor was battling debilitating pain in the stomach. Initially, there was no clarity about what caused it. Randeep had to be admitted to a hospital immediately and a few tests were run.
A source told this newspaper, “Randeep has been in Canada for over a few weeks now to shoot for Deepa Mehta’s film. He also had multiple workshops with other actors to enact the scenes before they started the final shooting process. During his stay, he was constantly facing some pain in the stomach but he continued to ignore it. He took some medicines hoping the pain will fade away but it only got worse.”
Recalling that night, a friend of the actor said, “He was screaming in pain. Randeep called his father, who is a doctor. He suggested that he run a few tests and Randeep took his advice. He wasn’t discharged from the hospital till the test reports were out. When the reports came, it emerged that Randeep had kidney stones. He will get the operation done once he is back in Mumbai.”
