Telgu Desam steps up efforts for Central post

Adilabad: The Telugu Desam is trying hard to convey the message to its cadre that the party is still strong in the Telangana state and that they need not worry about their future.

And in an effort to prevent defections, the TD senior leaders are trying to secure a ministerial berth for one of their MPs in the Narendra Modi government or at least a nominated post at the Centre, in the next phase of Union Cabinet expansion. The TD high command is reportedly mounting pressure on the BJP leaders to either grant a minster post or a nominated posts at the Centre.
