Telangana plans 20,000 acre land bank in Hyderabad
Government has initiated steps to take over unutilised lands from various firms
Hyderabad: Telangana government’s new industrial policy, to come into effect within a month, envisages creating a “land bank” of nearly 20,000 acres in and around Hyderabad for allotment to new firms.
The government is keen to host a mega Partnership Summit in December this year and plans to invite industry heads from nearly 160 countries. It wants to keep the land ready for allotment by that time, expecting that a majority of the firms will opt for land on city outskirts.
The government has initiated steps to take over unutilised lands from various firms, besides clearing encroachments to create the land bank.
