Decision to be taken after PM Modi returns from Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi: A final decision on new Governors is likely to be taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from Jammu and Kashmir.

While the home ministry is yet to receive a list on fresh appointees, sources said there are consultations going on within the BJP over the last couple of weeks on the set of names that may be forwarded to the government shortly.

The names doing the round include those of former UP chief minister Kalyan Singh, former UP Assembly Speaker Kesari Nath Tripathi, former Union minister Ram Naik, former Lucknow MP Lalji Tandon, former Bhopal MP Kailash Joshi, BJP leader from Kerala O. Rajagopal besides others.
