Telangana set to take back Rs 2000 crore land in Urban Land Ceiling
Government also took over 20 acres allotted to the AP Film Development Corporation
Hyderabad: After taking back the APNGOs’ land, the Telangana government is set to take over costly lands worth Rs 2,000 crore in Hyderabad district limits.
The government on Friday also took over 20 acres allotted to the AP Film Development Corporation in 1982 as it was lying unused.
The government is focusing on Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) lands, over an extent of 245 acre, which fall under Urban Land Ceiling Act and are under the possession of 130 individual and private parties and are stuck in legal disputes. In Hyderabad, the state has ULC lands to an extent of 2,843 acre in 1,074 locations. However, only 113 acres is under the possession of the state while another 245 acre is stuck in legal disputes.
