Hyderabad: With no official confirmation from the government of Telangana to take the Metro rail underground near the Assembly, the officers are now worried about meeting the deadline for the completion of the Metro project.
The project is to be completed by 2017, when all the three corridors are to be made operational after testing and verification.
A Hyderabad Metro Rail officer explained, “Re-alignment can be considered once we get an official confirmation from the government. Till then, works will go on.” he said.
Hyderabad Metro Rail MD N.V.S. Reddy said, “There is no official communication received from the government.”
Similarly there is too much of pressure to find alternative routes from Lakdikapul despite pillars coming up on that stretch.
Larsen and Toubro the contractor and operator, maintains, “We are doing the work as per the sites given by Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited. Beyond that we can’t comment on further course of action.”
