Ready to walk the talk with KCR, says Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad: At a time when the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments are at loggerheads over extension of fee reimbursement to students, sharing of Krishna River water and electricity, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made the first move to break the ice on Wednesday by stating that he was willing to sit with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to sort out contentious issues bet-ween the two states.
“KCR is not new to me. There is nothing wrong in sitting together to sort out issues for the welfare of the people. I am always positive and willing to discuss. Both AP and Telangana need the cooperation of each other to go head. The people of both the states are like brothers. Politics is different and public welfare is different,” Mr Naidu said in reply to a query over the Telangana government raking up controversy over release of water.
However, Mr Naidu found fault with the Telangana government for raking up a controversy over every issue. “The AP Reorganisation Act specifies that 10 tmc ft of water from river Krishna has to be released to AP to meet drinking water needs. River waters are being shared over the years.
