Nagarjunasagar dam water released to krishna delta
Telangana government opposed the release of water from the dam
Hyderabad: The Krishna River Management Board appointed by the Centre prevailed on Wednesday and Nagarjunasagar dam officials started releasing waters to the Krishna Delta System for drinking purposes at the rate of 6,000 cusecs.
However, expressing dissent over the manner in which the KRMB took the decision without consulting it, the Telangana government wrote to board in-charge chairman A.B. Pandya stating that it was undemocratic.
