Mumbai: We hear actress Sapna Pabbi, who played Anil Kapoor’s daughter in 24, is now being launched by John Abraham in a film titled 17 Ko Shaadi Hai. But for that the London-born actress had to give up a meaty role in the popular US series Homeland because she had to allot the required dates to John’s film and Vishesh Films’ production Khamoshiyaan.
Our source says, “Sapna was very excited to be offered a meaty role in Homeland where she was to play a Pakistani student. She was zeroed in after several rounds of auditions but the shooting schedules clashed with that of 17 Ko Shaadi Hai and Khamoshiyaan. She knew there was no room for rescheduling and so she had to honour her prior commitments.” The source adds, “John is planning to launch her in a big way and she could not neglect that project.”
