Samsung launches two Galaxy Tab S versions in India
The Korean giant had unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab S a few weeks earlier. Finally, we get to see it here in India and available on the Samsung online stores.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is available in two variants—an 8.4-inch and a 10.5-inch. While the 8.4-inch version is priced at Rs 37,800, the 10.5-inch costs Rs 44,800.
The two variants are identical in features except for the display specifications and the battery capacities. The Tab S 8.4 has an 8.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1600x2560 pixels and a pixel depth of 359ppi. The Tab S 10.5 has a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and a pixel depth of 288ppi.
The two Tab S variants are built using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, which features a 2.3Ghz quad-core Krait 400 processor with 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 graphics processor. The internal storage is available in two variants again, 16GB and 32GB, which can be expanded further up to 128GB. Both the tablets have an 8MP rear camera and a 2.1MP front camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi ac/a/b/g/n, infrared, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and a micro USB 2.0 port. The Android version featured is KitKat v4.4.2 with Samsung’s own custom user interface TouchWiz UI. While the 8.4-incher is powered using a 4900 mAh battery, the 10.5-incher uses a 7900 mAh battery.
