Mumbai: India's former fast bowler Yograj Singh, who went to United States for his throat cancer surgery will return to India on Thursday morning.
After Yuvraj Singh, the 57-year-old father Yograj was diagnosed with cancer too.
"I am fine my son. I have recovered a lot but can't speak much. Thank you for bring concerned. God bless you with a long and happy life", he said exclusively over telephone from Mississippi, before boarding a flight.
On his route to Delhi, Yograj will have two stop-overs at Houston and New Jersey.
The cancer in Yograj’s vocal chords was diagnosed a few months back and successful surgery was performed in USA.
Yograj Singh has been accompanied by his wife Satveer Kaur, their two children-son Victor and daughter Ameya.
"My husband is much better now. The US doctors have permitted him to return to India and have asked him to return after 3 months for check up", the wife, in exclusive chat, said.
"He has been able to eat the semi-solid food and is much better".
"He has recovered with his well-wishers' wishes", she added.
Yograj Singh had married to Satveer after divorcing his first wife Shabnam Singh, the mother of Yuvraj and Joravar Singh. mother.
"Yes, Yuvraj and his father are in regular contacts with each other", she added.
Indian all-rounder Yuvi may not be able to spend some quality time with his father immediately as he (Yuvraj) has been chosen to play for the Rest of the World XI team against MCC at Lord's on July 5.
