N Chandrababu Naidu’s office looks like dump
Hyderabad: This is not a garbage dump, it is supposed to be AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s office at the Secretariat. The AP CM was allotted the 8th floor of the L block in the Secretariat for his office, which was previously the panchayat raj department in the united state.
It’s been three weeks since Mr Naidu has taken charge, but the place still looks like a dump with old files, waste paper and other material strewn around, as officials have not started work on the CM’s office. It is still not clear whether the CM will work out of the Secretariat or not, but round-the-clock security has been appointed at his office.
Official sources said that the roads and buildings (R&B) department had been asked to prepare the design for the CM’s office, but the department had not been divided and the department officials did not know who would be allotted to Telangana and who to AP.
Mr Naidu had earlier said that he didn’t want an office at the Secretariat as he would work from his residence and that he would spend three days at Guntur or Vijayawada, two days in Delhi and two days in Hyderabad every week.
Later, however, he had occupied the camp office at the Lakeview Guest house. Secretariat officials, meanwhile, pointed out that if Mr Naidu decided to work out of the Secretariat, it would be at least a month before his office was ready.
